Samsung’s Market Share Hits New High! Reasons Behind Flat Global TV Shipments in Q4 2025 Revealed
Release time:2026-03-09
Market research firm Omdia released a report on the 3rd of this month, stating that global TV shipments in the fourth quarter of 2025 are estimated at 61.5 million units, unchanged from the same period last year.

By region, TV shipments in China fell sharply by 25.3% year-on-year in Q4 2025, mainly due to weakened market demand after a large-scale replacement wave driven by previous government subsidy policies. All other regions recorded year-on-year growth, with North America, Western Europe, and Asia Pacific as the major shipping destinations. Latin America & Caribbean (+12.5%) and Middle East & Africa (+9.4%) led the growth.

Notably, TCL and Hisense achieved a combined market share increase of 2.2 percentage points in Q4 2025 despite the weak domestic market, supported by strong performance in overseas markets such as North America. According to Omdia data in Samsung Electronics’ press release issued on the 8th local time, Samsung ranked as the world’s No.1 TV brand for 20 consecutive years in 2025 with a 29.1% global market share. Furthermore, the company held market shares of 52.2% and 54.3% in the price segments above $1,500 and above $2,500 respectively.
